FOLLOW THESE RULES STRICTLY

Every person who is struggling to enter in Film Industry or tried earlier should please read the following information and should strictly follow these rules. 

WHAT TO DO? 

1.    You might have come to Mumbai at least 5, 6 months before and must have spent lot of money during this period. It is also possible that you might have taken any job in Mumbai simultaneously with a view to have some source of income for your survival. However, it is necessary for you to give complete information to your family while coming to Mumbai to enter in this field. At any cost do not come without giving proper information to your family. 

2.    You must have had the knowledge about the environment and the struggling that you will have to face. At the same time you might have understood whether you are fit or not for this field. 

3.    Once you realize that you are suitable for the requisite profile and capable to face the required struggle to achieve your goal, then only you will succeed; otherwise it is next to impossible. 

6.    In Mumbai Film Industry it is compulsory to make portfolio and artist card without which you can not enter in this industry. The cost of artist card is minimum Rs.12000. There are two types of artist cards i.e. Junior and Senior Cards of different rates. You need to make your portfolio for which the minimum cost will be Rs. 10,000. 

7.    You need to make your artist card through registered company like Cinta, Shivsena etc. Remember that you should not get entrapped by agents or other types of people engaged in fraudulent activities who deceive the new comers, grab money and spoil life of the entrants. 

8.    Once you came to Mumbai immediately join any good Institute who is providing Acting Course. Then you can get your artist card through your institute. But remember that these people always insist for commission for the same. Hence choose any good and renowned institute. 

9.    Upload your portfolio in all the production houses which you can search through Google where you will find number of names, address and sites. 

10.    It is not necessary that your goal should always be “acting”. Besides acting, there are number of other skilled work where you can show your skill and capability such as cameraman, direction, photography or other technicians. 

11.     You can make a group of strugglers like you and try to make short film for 10 to 15 minutes and forward to casting agency, or production house. 

12.    You need to meet artist coordinator and work also as junior artist in any form whether ad film, movie or serial. 

13.    You need to go for audition daily and the company may demand you to submit Rs.1000 to Rs.5000. In that case you need not go there. If the demand is for Rs.100 or so, then it is ok.  

14.    Before you go to any place you need to know what the character of audition is.  There you will have to go in that particular style, dress etc. 

What not to do ? 

1.    If you have firmly decided to become an actor/actress or to do career in film industry, then only you should come to Mumbai otherwise not. 

2.    In Mumbai you need not go to actor's home like Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh   Bacchan's or anybody. But instead of that you should go to production houses and often keep on giving auditions. 

3.    In Mumbai you should not appear in the trap of agent or any fraudulent people. There are so many these people in this category who make the new comers fool and grab money from them. 

4.    After coming to Mumbai please do not rely only on film income. For your survival you will be required to try for some other income source also.
